My Philosophy
I came out of a large law firm and set up on my own because I want to look after my clients myself and respond to their individual needs. My clients tell me they want my personal attention. They don’t want to be passed around a team, or to have to prove who they are every year. Prospective clients are often worried about cost and don’t want to commit themselves until they’ve had a chance to meet the solicitor. That’s why my first meeting with you is ‘no-obligation’. For my part, I want to be able to spend time getting to know you and finding out what you need. I also want to be able to work flexibly, both for your sake and mine. It might suit you for us to meet at the weekend or in the evening. It might suit me to take time out in the ‘working day’ to do non-law-related things. I aim to give us both what we want, but if that’s not possible, I aim to put you first.
I work from home. I don’t employ any staff, which helps keep down the cost of my service to you. I will call on you at your home when we need to meet. There is no extra charge for that. You are welcome to visit me if you wish, but please don’t expect a posh office.
If you don’t feel comfortable with my flexible approach, you might be better going to a larger law practice with standard hours, receptionist, secretaries and so on.
